Frequently Asked Questions

How long does a course last?

Most of our courses don’t have a strict length of duration. You’ll move through our different levels regarding your personal growth.

There are, however, two types of courses with pre-established lengths. Those are:

Beginner courses. They are 3 months long, but there is no commitment required to complete all three months and payment is issued monthly.

Troupe (choreography) courses. They are three months long and commitment to complete all three months is required upon registration.

Do you have discounts for students and unemployed folks?

We do! Students and unemployed folks get 20% off all our prices. Additionally, if you are in a precarious situation but you still wish to come to class, we ask you to please reach out to us so we can see if there’s anything we can do to include you.

I am joining a course mid month. Do I have to pay the monthly fee?

Yes. To join a course, regardless of when, the monthly fee has to be paid. However, you can make up for the sessions you missed by going to any other session (of the same or other dance styles) in our schedule during the month of your lost class.

A monthly course is considered to include four sessions within that month.

Example: You joined in mid month for a Lindy class, and so you’ve missed two sessions. You have the rest of the month to attend two extra sessions of another class, like another level of Lindy, Blues or Authentic Jazz.

Is the payment system a contractual multi-month/ yearly membership?

It is not. Courses are paid per month, and so you do not sign a contract to take classes with us for X amount of time longer than that. If you are not happy with the course after the month you paid for, you can notify us that you won’t continue, and no extra payment will be needed.

What if I miss one session?

If you miss a session, you have the whole month to make up for it by taking a session of another course in our schedule. Alternatively, if you already know you will miss one/several sessions ahead of time, you can give your spot in those sessions to a friend of the same dance role.

Example 1: You missed your Lindy intermediate class on a September course, you have the entire September to make up for that class.
Example 2: You know you’ll miss class next week, so you ask a friend to take that class for you (in exchange for compensation to you, or as a gift).

What if I only want to come to one class, or want to try it out?

If you only plan to come to one session during the month or want to simply try out the courses, you can drop in and pay the drop in price: 15 euros. Please note that drop-ins for a specific course are only possible once a month.

I missed too many sessions, and now I can’t keep up with the current material. What now?

You can book a private class through this website, e-mail or in person. “Catching up” privates have a special price: 40 euros.

I registered for flat rate. What now?

When registering for flat rate, you register for each class you want to take. You are counted for each of those classes, and as such you are expected to take them or notify us if you won’t, as you are taking someone’s spot. Please keep this in mind when choosing to register for flat rate.

Do I need to notify you if I know I’ll be missing sessions?

Yes, please! That makes it easier for us to keep a balanced class.

Do I need to notify you before I come to “making up” sessions?

Paradoxically enough (in comparison to the previous question): You do not. If you missed a lesson from the course you registered for and are making it up by taking an extra lesson in another course within 7 days, you can simply show up to that session and enjoy the class. Make sure, however, that the level you’ll be joining is appropriate for you.

But some months have 5 sessions while others have 4! What then?

We’re aware! If you join, let’s say, a Monday course, there’s a chance that some months will have 5 Mondays, and some others will have 4. One of those Mondays there will be no class, and it will be notified with at least two weeks in advance.

What about holiday months?

During holiday months (ex: December) where there is national or school holidays during one day or week of the month, the monthly fee remains the same. In December, for example, we teach only three weeks, and in some (but not all) national holidays there’s a one day break. In this months, if the holiday break falls in one of your session, you can simply make up for it as stated before.

What is the refund policy of the school?

We have different policies for workshops and regular courses.
You can read about them here.
